BURSARY OPPORTUNITIES 2024 ACADEMIC YEAR TARGETING MAINLY STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
 
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury is offering bursaries to students who are residents of KwaZulu-Natal interested in pursuing a tertiary qualification in the field of study indicated below:
• BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR RELATED QUALIFICATION AT NQF LEVEL 7 IN THE FIELD OF STUDY OF ACCOUNTING

Who can apply?
• Youth who are between the ages of 18-35 years, and who are from the KwaZulu-Natal Province, in possession of a matric/grade 12 certificate or currently completing matric/grade 12.
• Students in possession of a provisional/acceptance letter from a public institution of higher learning and willing to study in the field as indicated in this advert.
• Students who are currently studying towards qualifications indicated in this advert
The following documentation must be completed and forwarded:
• Bursary application form (available from the Department or the Departments' website).
• Application letter clearly indicating the proposed field of study and motivation as to why you should be offered financial assistance with contact details i.e cell phone number.
• Curriculum from the proposed tertiary institution.
• A detailed quotation/ fee structure from the institution reflecting the registration fee and cost of the intended study.
• Proof of application via the CAO.
• Certified Academic results grade 11 final results, grade 12 June/Trials/Final.
• Certified copies of Identity document (ID) including your parents ID and / or your guardians ID/death certificate where applicable.
• Proof of income and expenditure statement for both parents/legal guardians must be provided.
• Supporting documentation such as a copy of parents/ guardian pay slips, pension receipt.
• Proof of unemployment from Department of Labour from both parents if they are unemployed.
• Proof of residence.
PLEASE NOTE
A bursar will be required to serve the Department for a period of 2 years after completion of the qualification.
It must be stressed that funds are limited and there is no guarantee that all applicants will be successful.
Correspondence will be limited to successful candidates only. If you have not been contacted within 4 months of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
Preference will be given to students who will pursue studies at institutions within the KZN Province as well as youth and Persons with Disabilities.

Closing date for submission of applications extended to the 15 of November 2023.
